The Angry Smile: Understanding and Intervening with Passive-Aggressive Behavior.” A One-Day Training about being better prepared when you encounter passive-aggressive behavior. I will focus this session on content specific to identifying, understanding and intervening with passive aggressive behavior within the school setting, in the workplace with other staff, in online interactions and with relationships in our own families. The session will be based on the “The Angry Smile,” an interactive one-day workshop, by Dr. Signe Whitson, et.al. from the LSCI Institute. The five levels of passive-aggressive behavior, will be presented, including temporary compliance; intentional inefficiency; and letting a problem escalate. A framework will be developed for understanding passive-aggressive behavior shaped around the Passive-Aggressive Conflict Cycle. Selected intervention strategies and skill sets to reduce passive-aggressive behavior will be discussed. We will practice applying this content to you students and schools. Bring this one-day, 6-hour training of The Angry Smile: Understanding and Changing Passive Aggressive Behavior, or “Life Space Crisis Intervention” directly to your school.

“Randy has been a Senior Trainer with the LSCI Institute for a decade. We have collaborated professionally and co-presented The Angry Smile content on passive aggressive behavior. He has regularly conducted breakout sessions at our LSCI Instructors Conference including “Fostering Emotional Safety” and “It’s About Time; Time to Teach, Time to Learn, and Time To Lead.” Evaluations from attendees were superlative. He will be invited back for our next conference.” Signe Whitson, C-SSWS, Chief Operating Officer for the LSCI Institute.

“Life Space Crisis Intervention” was developed by Dr. Nicholas Long, founder of the LSCI Institute. A One or Two-Day training about understanding troubled and troubling youth. I will focus this training on content based on The Conflict Cycle, a framework to understand how young people within the school setting respond under stress or moments of crisis.  Understand how our behavior as staff can influence the outcomes for both staff and students. The Six Reclaiming Strategies provide a pathway for debriefing after a moment of crisis, and learning new skills for the student.  We will practice applying this content to your students and schools. Bring this one-day or two-day training of “Life Space Crisis Intervention” directly to your school.
